Coating & Converting

Universal Tape Company offers nearly 100 different products to fit many unique applications.  However, some applications require a custom formulation, adhesive thickness or substrate.

If we don’t have an existing product that will perform to your requirements, we won’t make you settle for satisfactory results.  We are willing and able to custom coat a product that will perform flawlessly in your application.  We have coating lines large enough to handle high volume requirements, and small enough to handle small batch runs for lower volume applications.

We pride ourselves on our quick turnaround times from product development to final production and delivery.  Best of all, most all of our custom products require zero R&D costs to our customers.

Key Aspects of Custom Adhesive Coating:

  1. Tailored Formulations: Custom adhesive coatings are formulated to achieve desired properties, such as bonding strength, flexibility, temperature resistance, or chemical resistance. The formulation depends on the materials involved and the environmental conditions the final product will face.

  2. Substrate Compatibility: Custom adhesives can be designed to bond with a wide range of substrates, including metals, plastics, glass, textiles, and composites. Ensuring compatibility is crucial to achieving optimal adhesion and performance.

  3. Functionality: These coatings can serve multiple functions beyond bonding, such as providing electrical insulation, thermal management, corrosion protection, or aesthetic enhancements. Multifunctional coatings can streamline manufacturing processes and improve product reliability.

Benefits:

  • Enhanced Performance: Custom adhesive coatings can significantly improve the durability, efficiency, and lifespan of products.

  • Design Flexibility: Enables innovation in product design and engineering by allowing the use of various materials and complex assemblies.

  • Cost Efficiency: Optimized adhesive formulations and application techniques can reduce material waste and manufacturing costs.
